Young, fresh and creative, the sound of five piece traditional outfit Nábac stand out, with their inexhaustible arrangements and material. Drawing from the Irish tradition, their repertoire combines self-penned and traditional tunes, with folk songs old and new.
Nábac are a West Dublin raised group (except for Ciarán who is from Derry) and are now based in Galway City. They formed just under two years and are making headway with their interesting repertoire. They successfully toured around Europe and performed as headliners at festivals such as the Copenhagen Irish Festival, the Folkest Festival Italy and the Des Carty Music Festival Dublin. Being a well recognised act in many of Ireland 's great folk venues, the band is swiftly creating ripples in the musical scene with a sound that is intricate, varied, and soulful while adhering to the Irish traditional sound.
