About the descriptions (Put your mouse over the description for seeing the picture change)

• We have tried to make some descriptions of the danish folk dances as they are danced today by people in the Copenhagen
• The method is simple.
  • Take your video camera to the dance (pereferably when good musicians are playing)
  • Put it on YouTube
  • Make some animations in PowerPoint and put them into animated Gifs that makes it easier to understand what goes on
  • put some "loops" into you tube so you can easier see what is going on
• Most of the videos are taken as "real life normal dancing" the way we use the dances today when getting together at festivals and dance evenings.
  
  
• The descriptions looks best on a large screen 1920*1080 is recommended.
  • But if you have a smaller screen, the sheet music and the animations are just getting reshuffled and it should be viewable on a 800*600 screen.
    
    
• If you have sheet music enabled there is a marking where you are in the music sheet for the selected dance
  
  
• The video will loop between T1 and T2 (if they are set)
  • First time you run a loop you may have to click twice into the table
  • Please note that the tool YouTube have provided does not allow too much selection forth and especially long backwared jumps may cause the video to stick (Press refresh F5, if you get into that situation)
    
    
• You may select different videos
  • If no loops have been preset for the selected video you may set loop with the A and B buttons
  • Play all button will reset the loop

We think this tool is great, and we hope that there are some people out there that will start dancing the Danish (Swedish and Norwegian) dances, and find the same enjoy in playing the old melodies and dance to them as we do.

This dance tool is not ready yet.

It is our intention to translate all descriptions into English so we have them in two languages.
